September is a warm month in Milan, many events happen in the city during this time and accommodations can be scarce, especially during weekends. Luckily, the Milano Bicocca University is well-connected. You can stay almost anywhere in the city and get to the conference within 30 minutes, or less, using public transport.

Call for Participation
Akademy is the annual KDE Community conference. If you are working on topics relevant to KDE or Qt, this is your chance to present your work and ideas to the KDE community at large. It will take place in Milan, Italy, from Saturday 7th to Friday 13th of September, 2019. The talks will be held on Saturday the 7th and Sunday the 8th of September. The rest of the week will be Birds-of-a-Feather meetings (BoFs), unconference sessions and workshops.

Daytrip - Wednesday
This years daytrip will be to Lake Como, we will be leaving after the mornings BoFs etc.
Buses (free) will depart from near Milano Greco Pirelli Station at 1300 and drop you off at via dell'Imbarcadero in Varenna (near the ferries).

Akademy is the annual world summit of KDE, one of the largest Free Software communities in the world. It is a free, non-commercial event organized by the KDE Community.
The conference is expected to draw hundreds of attendees from the global KDE Community to discuss and plan the future of the Community and its technology. Many participants from the broad free and open source software community, local organizations and software companies will also attend.
