Code of Conduct

KDE is dedicated to providing an enjoyable Akademy experience for everyone. As a Community, we value and respect all people, regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ability, shape, size or preferred desktop environment. We will not tolerate vilification, abuse or harassment in any form. Please read the code of conduct of Akademy.

Rooms

Keynote speeches are on the first floor, the infodesk, sponsors, and hangout space are on the 2nd floor during the weekend. During the week we will be on the 2nd and 3rd floors. There will be signs and volunteers available to guide you, there are also elevators. Post in the Akademy Attendees channel if you get lost.

Lunch

Lunch for the weekend is for registered attendees, if you have not registered, feel free to ask the Akademy team if there’s extra food available. Cost : 10 €.

You can pay for lunch in cash or via paypal.

Photo policy

Please respect our photo policy: attendees wearing “no photo” lanyards do not wish to be photographed, while those with blue or unlabled lanyards are happy to be photographed.

If you wear a “no photos” lanyard and choose to be in the group photo (that will be posted publicly) you will not be edited out!

Social Event

We have a cap of 120 people for c-base. If more than that show up for the event (which is welcome) we will have the overflow meet at the Strand Biergarten right across the river, only a 10 minute walk away. We will enjoy the Berlin sunset and can stagger adventuring groups to the hackerspaceship. Thank you in advance for your flexibility, we want to make sure everyone has a good time and opportunity to hang out with each other and experience c-base.

The day trip is a chance to get to know our community better, it is on Wednesday, make sure it’s included in your Akademy registration.
