Getting to Berlin!
You can fly to the BER Airport or a train/bus to the Berlin Hauptbahnhof (Central Station - HbF) or Zoologischer Garten. Because Berlin is the capital of Germany, most international buses and rail lines offer routes to Berlin, and multiple public transit lines frequently connect to the airport.
Getting to the venue from the Airport or Train Station
From the Airport or the HbF: Take the S9 directly to the Tiergarten Station and walk to TU from there.
From Zoologischer Garten: It is possible to walk from the station (14 mins), or take the U2 or Bus 245/M45 one stop to Ernst-Reuter-Platz, or the S9/7/3/5 one stop to Tiergarten Station and walk 5-10 mins.
Getting Around Berlin
Transit:
There are physical ticket kiosks at most S&U-Bahn stations that accept cash (usually) and card. Berlin also allows you to purchase digital transit passes through the Jelbi app, BVG app, and BVG website.
Taxi and Rideshare
Taxis are easy to find all across Berlin, including at the airport, train stations, and throughout the city. You can also request them via the FreeNow app. Rideshare services like Uber and Bolt also operate.
Tips:
Cash is still king in Germany. While many places take card in Berlin it is not uncommon to wind up somewhere that's cash only. There are many ATMs throughout the city and in most train stations.
