Getting to Graz
Airport or Train Station
Graz has its own airport (GRZ) which is reasonably well connected to Frankfurt, Munich, Düsseldorf, Zurich, Vienna, and Berlin. Since many international flights target one of these airports it’s possible to reach GRZ easily. International flights that do not go through one of these hubs may target Vienna International (VIE) instead. From VIE it’s a 3 hour train ride to Graz. There is also a direct Flixbus option
By Train
Graz is easily reached by train from nearby cities (Vienna, Ljubljana, Venezia, …). Additionally, since many night train services run through Austria it may also be reached by night train. Directly from: Berlin, Praha, and Zurich. Indirectly, through Vienna, from Amsterdam, Hamburg, Brussels, and Paris. As an extra bonus: train connections are often available as scenic routes. For example from Munich the fastest connection is through the Koralmtunnel, but alternative routes lead through scenic alpine valleys (e.g. via Salzburg and Bischofshofen). There even is a panoramic, albeit slow, direct connection from Zurich.
By Bus
Graz is also a stop on many long distance bus routes opertated by FlixBus.
